Delaware Shakespeare Festival

Weather

What happens if it rains?

The show may continue through light wind or rain. However, should the weather turn very disagreeable -- if steady rain or lightning should begin after the start of a performance -- a 20-minute rain delay will go into effect.

If the inclement weather continues or if conditions have made the stage unsafe for the actors or the audience, the performance will be cancelled. Upon cancellation, vouchers will be offered for another performance date.

The Delaware Shakespeare Festival is an annual theatrical event celebrating the works of Shakespeare through professional outdoor performances. Begun in 2003, the Festival has grown each year by entertaining and enlightening enthusiastic crowds who enjoy picnicking while taking in the performance. The Festival is an ideal way to introduce youngsters to the classics, or for adults to reacquaint with these classic works of literature.
