Overview

Founded in 2003, the Delaware Shakespeare Festival (DSF) makes classical theatre accessible to all with our professional cast and crew. With help from our corporate sponsors, ticket prices are only $15 ($12 for seniors and $10 students), creating what Delaware Today calls, “One of the best events of the summer.”

DSF annually serves between 2,000-3,000 people, including between 300-600 children, in Delaware and the surrounding region. We invite you to be a DSF supporter as we enter our eleventh season!

We encourage you to sponsor the Festival. DSF will work with you to create a custom benefits package. All packages include: Company Logo on DSF materials; Company Sign at performances; Ad in DSF playbill; Complimentary tickets.

This exclusive sponsorship allows your company to show its commitment to the community throughout the entire year of performances and education & outreach programs.

The Two Gentlemen of Verona Sponsor: $5,000

Your company can be a production sponsor for DSF’s 2013 summer presentation of Shakespeare’s youthful romance.

The Bridge Sponsor (At-Risk Youth): $4,000

The Bridge is DSF’s program which brings at-risk and adjudicated youth to the Festival free of charge. DSF artists also provide workshops that help participants to connect the themes of the play to their own lives.

Family Nights Sponsor: $3,500

Family Nights are our three Sunday Matinee performances. Children under 12 are admitted for free of charge and special family-friendly activities are scheduled.

Opening Night Sponsor: $2,000

Have your company be a presence at the grand opening and first night party. Traditionally, the New Castle County Executive has welcomed the audience from the stage before the show.

Understanding Shakespeare Sponsor: $2,000

Festival Friends support DSF programming.
Each night two DSF artists present an informal pre-show orientation to the audience. This helps to shake off any “Shakespeare-phobia” an audience might have.

College Apprentice Program Sponsor: $2,000

Every year, DSF provides 5-8 college students with a pre-professional experience. This sponsorship supports apprentice stipends and training workshops.

Children’s Activity Tent Sponsor: $1,500

On Family Nights, DSF provides a tent with Shakespeare-themed arts and crafts and other children’s activities.

Adopt-an-Actor Program: $1000 (10 available)

Attach your company’s name to the performance of one of DSF’s talented professional actors. Let us know what night you are coming, and we’ll arrange a post-performance meeting!
