Synopsis
“Some Cupid kills with arrows, some with traps."
Much Ado About Nothing, first performed in 1598, remains one of Shakespeare's most enduring plays. Triumphantly returning from war, Don Pedro and his soldiers stop to rest at the home of Leonato only to find themselves engaging in the “merry wars” of love.
Young lovers Hero and Claudio are to be married in one week. To pass the time, they conspire with Don Pedro to set a "lover's trap" for Benedick, an arrogant confirmed bachelor, and Beatrice, his favorite sparring partner. Meanwhile, the evil Don John conspires to break up the wedding by accusing Hero of infidelity. In the end, though, it all turns out to be "much ado about nothing".
With wit and humor, deception and devotion, live on stage, Much Ado About Nothing is the must-see romantic comedy this summer in Delaware.
