DSF offers acting and production apprenticeships for college students who wish to start their careers before graduation. Apprentices work with the Festival's professional directors, actors, and designers to gain hands-on experience. Acting apprentices appear in small roles in the mainstage production, understudy larger roles, and appear in the comedic pre-show. Production apprentices work with designers to help create costumes, props, sets, and lighting elements of the production. College credit may be available for those who qualify.
