Delaware Shakespeare Festival


Delaware Shakespeare Festival is accepting headshots and resumes for non-union actors for its 2015 summer production, The Taming of the Shrew, directed by Samantha Bellomo (Resident Director, People’s Light and Theatre Company). The roles of Katharina, Bianca, and Petruchio have already been cast. Female performers will be considered for some traditionally male roles. Performers of all ethnic and racial backgrounds are encouraged to attend, as well as actors who play musical instruments.

Monologue auditions: Saturday, January 17 from 12noon-6pm and Sunday, January 18 from 5pm-8pm. Auditions by appointment only. Rehearsals begin June 16 and will be held on weeknights/weekend days. Production runs July 17-August 2 on the grounds of Rockwood Park in Wilmington, DE.

All roles paid at Barrymore-eligible rate. Please note: DSF does not provide artist housing. No phone calls please.

Auditions will be held at J. Alexander Productions, 301 A Street, Suite B, Wilmington, DE (directions emailed with audition appointment). College students may audition for Apprentice roles on a separate date (TBD).
